Abbott World Marathon Majors’ draw program has been revamped for 2025.
The draw schedule has undergone some changes to make it as easy as possible for runners to plan their marathon calendars.
Draws for the fall 2025 events and spring 2026 events will now all take place between May 2 and August 29 of this year to allow successful runners plenty of time to make preparations for their next star.
In 2025, our first ever draw for places in the TCS Sydney Marathon will be included in the schedule as we welcome the Harbour City to the series on August 31.
The new schedule also means a revamp for the dates of our Road to the Majors half marathon events.
This series of six virtual challenges held in the AbbottWMM Global Run Club offers runners with the minimum required stars to earn extra places in our draws for every Road to the Majors challenge completed.
We have also introduced a capacity limit for each race at 2,750 to maintain a sensible limit to the maximum number of people entering our draws.
*Runners are not eligible for our race draws for a Major in which they have already earned their star.
For every challenge you complete in the series, you will earn an additional entry into a draw. To be eligible for a draw, you must have the required number of stars by the draw date, and claim your entry by the due date listed above.
If you are eligible for more than one draw, you can choose to put all your places into one Major or spread them out; the choice is yours.
CHALLENGE REGISTRATION COST: $50
Registration includes:
- Participation in the race and final ranking
- Digital badge for all finishers
- Runners who complete the challenge receive an additional entry into the AbbottWMM race draw for the 2025/2026 Major that they are eligible for. See race draw details above.
