CAREER NOTES:

Ana Dulce Felix's PR 2:25:40 at the 2011 ING New York City Marathon helped atone for her previous trip there in 2010 when she had to drop out. Her time smashed the previous best Portugese performance at New York, a 2:30:37 by Manuela Machado in 1997.

Earlier in the year Felix had won national championships at cross-country, 5000 meters and 15 kilometers.
