CAREER NOTES:

Kiprop has shown steady progress in the marathon going from 2:10:40 (2006) to 2:09:49 (2007) to 2:08:30 (2008) to 2:07:04 (2009). That last performance came at the real,- Berlin Marathon where he closed to within a minute of winner Haile Gebrselassie.

Kiprop has run a half-marathon best of 1:00:17 at Den Haag in 2007 and last year set a course record of 1:00:59 at Klagenfurt, Austria. He has some impressive track PRs including 13:05.81 for 5,000 and 27:36.78 for 10,000 meters.

Kiprop also ran in Berlin in May 2005, placing fifth (1:14:20) for 25 kilometers.
