CAREER NOTES:
Rotich's marathon debut was a memorable one as in near-freezing temperatures she won the 2009 Rock n' Roll Las Vegas Marathon along with a $10,000 bonus for first runner across the finish line after the women received a 19 minute head start over the men.
She sliced one second off her PR at New York City in 2010 and then ran some five minutes faster at Boston in 2011.
Her half-marathon PR is 1:10:42.
